I’m about to let you in on a little secret I use to make a little extra money in 5 minutes or less. No – it’s not a job, and no – it’s not some sort of scam.
To prove it to you, here is a shot of a check I got just the other day. Sometimes the checks are bigger, sometimes smaller.
Here’s how YOU can use this 5 minute money tip:
Lots and lots of companies, for one reason or another, become involved in a class action suit. Maybe they lied about how much product was in a package they were selling. Could be that they made a promise they didn’t keep. Perhaps they said they were “all natural” and it was found out later to be untrue.
There are all sorts of reasons a court will order a business to make it right with their customers.
In most every case there is no way for a business to know who bought the product, much less how to find them to let them know they are owed money. You have to know where to look.
I want to stress to you that you should be honest. It’s really not cool to submit a claim for things you didn’t truly buy. Karma remembers.
Go to Top Class Actions and start reading through the newest class action suits. When you find one you qualify for just click “submit claim” to be taken to the form you need to fill out. If you’re asked whether you’ve been notified about the claim (like by mail, etc) be honest and say no. In most cases it won’t matter.
Worried that maybe you can’t take part in a class action suit because you don’t have the receipt? Not true. No one expects that you kept a receipt for boxes of cereal you bought 2 years ago. For larger settlements (like a problem with a car) you will likely be expected to have proof of purchase.
I strongly suggest you sign up for the Top Class Actions newsletter so that you won’t forget to check at least once or twice a month to see if you qualify for any settlements.
Just this morning I found a product I’d bought several times over the last year that is involved in a class action suit. I’ll receive a check for $50 because it was discovered the label was misleading.
When you’re a Mom looking to save as much money as you can while making as much money as you can, this little secret can come in handy.
