First of all you should know that eSalon did not pay me for this review, nor did they give me free product. I just decided to try it out and thought I should tell you exactly what I thought of it.
I’d also like you to know that you will not be seeing any photos of my results. I just had a biopsy right on my face and I can’t wear make-up. Do you really think I’d let humans see me without make-up? That’s just crazy sauce.
Himself and I are leaving for an extended working vacation to St. Pete, Florida. Between my business, and trying to see my kids and grandkids before we leave, AND letting someone slice off a bit of my nose, I had absolutely no time to go to the salon. I have gray hairs that are popping around my face now, and my roots were epic. A sad, sad way to go on vacation.
So, I went to the eSalon website where I was asked so many questions about my hair, I was worried they were a front for the FBI. A few days later, Shazam!
My entire little box was personalized just for me. I kind of loved that. It made me feel like someone was listening to my hair freak-out story.
Inside were the actual bottles of hair color and developer, and in the little box was everything else I’d need. (Except tequila. There was no tequila.)
There were two pairs of gloves, instructions, things to prevent and remove stains on my skin, shampoo, and conditioner.
I loved that there was stain guard and remover. If you’ve ever colored your own hair, you know it’s hard not to walk around for at least the next day looking as though were the victim of a cruel prank perpetrated on your hair line.
And, here’s another little touch that I loved, but I’m not sure if anyone else has ever hated. When you color your hair at home you’re always given a conditioner – never a shampoo. When you try to open that little conditioner packet in the shower, guess what? They are harder to rip open than any other packaging material known to humans. I hate that! I was sort of delighted that the (great smelling) eSalon packets were a breeze to tear open!
It was easy to color my hair because eSalon sent everything I needed, the instructions were super clear, and I didn’t have to wonder what the color was going to look like because of all the FBI questions when I ordered.
But, none of that matters if it didn’t cover those gray bitches and my tragic roots.
Verdict: IT WORKED GREAT! It’s not flat, like shoe polish. It’s not harsh. And, the gray is once again in hiding.
I liked it. Have you used eSalon? Maybe give it a try. PS: So not expensive.
